I have no puppies at this time.
We've been here in Shingle Springs, in beautiful El Dorado County, CA, since November 2000. After looking for a very LONG time, we finally found our dream-come-true. Five gorgeous FENCED acres with a tremendous house, barns and lots of HD and trailer parking - just right for our business, family and all our critters.
We are very happy here doing chores, raising our horses and dogs, watching the sun shine and enjoying the almost perfect California weather. Specifically, we breed Pembroke Welsh Corgis (PWC) and American Quarter Horses.
So far we've had three beautiful fillies and two colts (see photos left) and several litters of Corgis. In March 2008 we welcomed our newest colt "Hank," by Peptos Royal Pistol out of our Colonel Freckles mare. (See Video here) He's now joined the other two ladies in the barn as our trio of trusty trail horses and we enjoy riding them nearby at the river, in the mountains, at the beach and horsecamping all over northern CA.
FLASH! We are now thoroughly in love with our newest corgi girl, GCH CH Rocky L Pennies from Heaven. She won Best Opposite at her first AKC show May 27, 2012, the very day she turned 6 months old. She is adorable and knows it too! She finished her AKC Championship with two HUGE wins at just eight months of age - back to back 4 and 5 pt. majors in Reno, earning a G1 and a G4! In addition to that she also won Best in Show Bred-By-Exhibitor, which is quite an accomplishment for a puppy! I am pretty darned proud of her! Now she is lounging at home, growing up and learning a few tricks to keep everyone entertained. She likes to go do therapy work at the local retirement homes and gives great kisses to all the residents!
(This was Penny's 8 month old Championship sweep - Special thanks to Shannon Stone who stepped up at the LAST SECOND to save the day!)
CONGRATS to our Penny who finished her AKC Grand Championship with two BOB's at the 2014 Memorial Day weekend Hangtown Sierra Cluster shows!
Penny's sire, Misty Ridge Rumblestiltskin, aka "Parker," came to us from CO, in Aug 2009. He learned all about going on "adventures," the house rules, guarding the homestead, the horses and ducks, and how to chase the ball/stick/toy/whatever, from veteran puppy wranglers, Simon and Fannie. He began his show career by winning Best Puppy in Show in Nov 2009, at the Napa Valley AKC show and then a 3 pt. major in Tucson, AZ, all from the 6-9 mo. puppy class (AKC).
In 2010 we started out well at a few shows in N. CA. By November, 2010, he had picked up a several more points and an AKC All-Breed Best in Show! (Puppy). At the Golden Gate PWC 2011 AKC Specialty in May, 2011, he was awarded RWD to a 5 pt major after winning a HUGE Open class against some incredible dogs, and then finished his AKC Championship a month later. His first five litters in 2011 were amazing and so far they have been placed in three states with a few now being shown. Several more litters were born in 2012 and 2013, a few pups are pointed and his first AKC champion baby finished at just 8 months of age, CH Rocky L Pennies From Heaven, aka "Penny."
Parker is OFA Good and vWD, CERF, DM CLEAR and is fluff-factored. (Pedigree) (Available for Stud by Private Treaty) (Stud Contract) Since 2013 another Parker daughter has finished and several more are close. These days several of his grandchildren are also major pointed too!
Parker is now enjoying his new job as my agility dog, occasional visits from his lady friends, and he ESPECIALLY LOVES going with me horseback riding! (In fact, if I leave without him, he gets really mad at me!)
