We've been here in Shingle Springs, in beautiful El Dorado County, CA, since November 2000. After looking for a very LONG time, we finally found our dream-come-true. Five gorgeous FENCED acres with a tremendous house, barns and lots of HD and trailer parking - just right for our business, family and all our critters.

We are very happy here doing chores, raising our horses and dogs, watching the sun shine and enjoying the almost perfect California weather. Specifically, we breed Pembroke Welsh Corgis (PWC) and American Quarter Horses.

So far we've had three beautiful fillies and two colts (see photos left) and several litters of Corgis. In March 2008 we welcomed our newest colt by Peptos Royal Pistol out of our Colonel Freckles mare. (See Video here) He is now started under saddle and scheduled to accompany us on the next ride to the beach!

Our current star Pembroke Welsh Corgi is CH. Rocky L Secret Admirer, aka "Marcie," who had a stellar year in 2009, winning back to back 4 pt majors on CO and then 5 more pts in CA soon after, finishing in just three months with a third major in AZ, all before she turned two years old! While on hiatus, she spent most of her time camping, exploring and hiking with her boy Garrett. Now she's had her first litter born April 11, 2010. To learn more about this litter click here.

Our newest addition is Misty Ridge Rumblestiltskin, aka "Parker," who came back with us from CO, in Aug 2009. He is learning all about going on "adventures," the house rules, guarding the homestead, the horses and ducks, and how to chase the ball/stick/toy/whatever, from veteran puppy wranglers, Simon and Fannie. He began his show career with a bang, winning Best Puppy in Nov 2009 at the Napa Valley show and then a 3 pt. major in Tucson, AZ, all from the 6-9 mo. puppy class.

In 2010 we started out well in Feb with handler Patrick Smith at a few shows in N. CA. Here's how they looked: Sun Maid KC 1, Sun Maid KC 2

By May, 2010, they had picked up a several more points and a Best in Show! (Puppy), and now need only a major to finish.

for another chuckle:

For fun we like to go on Harley rides and camping with the dogs and horses. We have several trips planned this year, including a trip to the beach at Pt. Reyes (videos 2010) and some mountain trips in the Sierras. When we aren't raising foals and puppies, or competing in conformation, rally and agility trials, we are doing chores...
